Youth Cocoa Sustainability Initiative

The purpose of the Youth Cocoa Sustainability Initiative is to educate, connect, and empower young people to help shape a more sustainable future for cocoa farming and the communities that depend upon it. The initiative brings together participating youth from Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Papua New Guinea to study real-world environmental, agricultural, economic, and social challenges affecting the global cocoa sector.

Through research, mentorship, field-based learning, cultural exchange, spatial intelligence, entrepreneurship, agricultural innovation, and international collaboration, students explore important issues such as climate change, crop disease, deforestation, soil health, responsible land management, farmer livelihoods, ethical production, and the long-term resilience of cocoa-growing communities. Our adopted cocoa farm in Ghana serves as a real-world learning environment where young people can connect academic knowledge with sustainable agricultural practices and community needs.

The initiative encourages participants to develop youth-led solutions that protect cocoa ecosystems, strengthen local economies, support farmers, and promote responsible production throughout the cocoa value chain. Students are also introduced to entrepreneurship, healthier approaches to cocoa-based products, technology, and career opportunities connected to agriculture, sustainability, business, and community development.

By connecting young people across Africa and the Pacific, the Youth Cocoa Sustainability Initiative promotes shared learning, cultural understanding, environmental responsibility, and ethical leadership. Our goal is to prepare a new generation of informed and compassionate leaders who can preserve the future of cocoa, advance sustainable development, and create lasting positive change within their communities and across the world.

Global Youth Summit

The goal of the Global Youth Summit is to bring together young people from diverse countries, cultures, and communities to exchange ideas, develop leadership skills, and create practical solutions to shared global challenges. The summit provides a welcoming international platform where youth can learn from one another, present their work, celebrate their cultures, and contribute their perspectives to conversations that directly affect their futures.

Through educational workshops, student presentations, cultural experiences, collaborative projects, mentorship, and community engagement, participants explore subjects such as sustainability, ethical leadership, climate resilience, education, entrepreneurship, technology, cultural heritage, agriculture, and community development. The summit encourages young people to connect academic learning with real-world action while strengthening their communication, critical-thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

A central purpose of the Global Youth Summit is to ensure that young people are not simply observers but active contributors. Participants are encouraged to present research, share experiences from their communities, showcase projects such as the Youth Cocoa Sustainability Initiative, and propose youth-led responses to environmental, economic, educational, and social challenges.

The summit also promotes cultural understanding by creating opportunities for students to build meaningful relationships across national and cultural boundaries. By learning about one another’s traditions, challenges, achievements, and aspirations, participants develop greater empathy, respect, and appreciation for the diversity of the global community.

Our goal is for every participant to leave the Global Youth Summit with increased confidence, stronger leadership abilities, an expanded international network, and a renewed commitment to serving their community. Through collaboration, education, and shared purpose, the summit prepares young people to become compassionate global citizens and ethical leaders capable of creating sustainable, lasting change.
